Another assignment from week 2 of Kate Johnson's watercolor texture class. This was a bark closeup. These trees are what I see out our back sliding glass door.
Since graduating from college I've kept track of all the books I've read. The ink on the earlier entries is starting to fade so I was glad to find a place to make it electronic. Library Thing saved me a lot of typing and I can download the list any time to my own computer for sorting and whatnot.

FABULOUS!!! You're taking these lessons to a higher level!!!
Beautiful - reminds me of a painting we used to have in our den when I was a kid.
Wonderful birch tree! You sure captured it perfectly.
For some reason, I was able to comment this time. Computers are sure funny!
That's really great. Those lessons are paying off for you.
This is beautifully done. . . light, and light-filled.:-)
Your painting is really beautiful! Don't you just love these trees? Keep up the great work!
Wow, I like your painting better than the actual photo. Great work. I am so envious of you taking part in the class. Looking forward to seeing more.
