Some rocks just below where we were sitting.
A guy sitting on some rocks a little ways away.
#3 is the first time I stuck a person in a picture. This guy held still long enough for me to sketch him in quickly.
Real rocks are more difficult to draw than imaginary rocks.

Beautiful sketches! I envy you living in Maine. It's one of my most favorite places on this earth to visit. Many many years ago my aunt and uncle owned a little island off the coast of Damariscotta. It was heaven!

Hi Sue, it is indeed a small world. I love your sketches of Maine...sounds like you and your husband had a wonderful time at the State Park. I grew up in Detroit, and my friend and I in the late 60's use to take her parents little yellow corvair and go out to Howell and on the way would see how fast we could the car up too---we were lucky we didn't kill ourselves or blow up the engine. Howell is a nice town...I think you would be amazed how large it is now! I moved up this way after to going to MSU and never returned to Detroit. Doug Thayer who wrote on your blog...is a wonderful metalsmith artist who has consignment where I work in Owosso...he participated in our sketch crawl last weekend. It is indeed a small world!
